Sumant Sinha, Chairman and Managing Director, Renew Power Limited

What does the city mean to you?

Gurugram is a comfortable place to live and work, but also suffers from some significant issues such as pollution.

One thing you love the most about Gurugram.

Rapid infrastructure development and the fact that everything is within proximity offers a convenient lifestyle.

One thing that should be improved in Gurugram.

Gurugram has high pollution levels and dust. Policy makers should enforce regulations to decrease pollution.

•Neeraj Aggarwal, Managing Director, Boston Consulting Group, India

What does the city mean to you?

We have been living here for 8 years. My kids were four and one when we first moved here. This city has become home.

One thing you love the most about Gurugram.

Lots of quality professionals with global exposure and forward looking thinking and strategies.

One thing that should be improved in Gurugram.

It should be given the same attention that cities such as Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula have got.

•Suresh Narayanan, Chairman & Managing Director, Nestlé India Private Limited

What does the city mean to you?

The city evokes happy memories of professional accomplishments and joyous times with my wife and friends.

One thing you love the most about Gurugram.

I love the modern, cosmopolitan, young and vibrant ambience of Gurugram, which fuels diversity! It’s a “happening” place, and embraces all generations.

One thing that should be improved in Gurugram.

While it is cosmopolitan and contemporary in amenities, the civic infrastructure has not kept pace with the growth.

•Deep Kalra, Founder & group CEO, Make My Trip

What does the city mean to you?

Gurugram today is more than just a Delhi suburb – it’s the largest hub for work, it’s rapidly become a cosmopolitan micro-city.

One thing that you love about Gurugram.

It’s got everything within 20 mins – work, home, play, eat, socialise and relative to big cities, the commute is not crazy!

One thing that should be improved in Gurugram.

We need to make the city greener and can do better when it comes to waste disposal. Add cycling lanes to take cars off the road!

•Gautam Datta, CEO, PVR Pictures

What does the city mean to you?

When I worked in advertising, real estate firm DLF was our client and our pitch to them was – walk to work, walk to school. I see that happening now.

One thing you love the most about Gurugram.

The way the city nudges and pushes you to be healthy. Its inspiring to see old, middle-aged and young people all walking around.

One thing that should be improved about Gurugram.

Security arrangements, especially late nights, should be looked into. Even infrastructure needs improvement.
